TradeStation web trading

TradeStation web trading is the same account without an installer. Charts, quotes and order entry are there. The deepest strategy work still prefers the desktop.

No install Same account Charts and orders

In the browser

  • Opens from any current desktop browser after you sign in.
  • Good for a second screen, a laptop on the road, or a machine you cannot install on.
  • Layout saving covers everyday charts and tickets.

On the desktop

  • Room for many charts, scanners and an options chain at once.
  • EasyLanguage and full strategy testing live here.
  • Worth the install if this is the machine you trade from most days.

A short session

Open

Scan

Run a saved filter, open two or three charts, and mark levels before the first order.

Midday

Manage

Adjust stops on the ticket, check option risk if you have a spread on, and ignore the rest of the noise.

Close

Review

Save the layout, note what the strategy did, and leave the heavier backtest for the desktop later.

Fits well

  • Checking a position when you are away from the Windows machine.
  • Placing a straightforward stock, option or futures order.
  • Sharing one account across a laptop and the desktop at home.

Leave for desktop

  • Writing or editing an EasyLanguage study.
  • Replaying a strategy across years of bars.
  • A workspace with a dozen linked charts.
